OUTCAST NATION

OUTCAST NATION

Outcast Nation: LGBTQA+. Homeless. Unseen. In New York City is a documentary that brings this hidden crisis into full, undeniable view. Filmed with urgency and empathy, the film traces the lives of LGBTQA+ youth navigating survival on the streets—from shelters to subway platforms, makeshift encampments to late-night outreach vans. These are stories of resilience, rage, chosen family, and the dream of something better.

We meet teens and young adults caught between their identities and a world that refuses to make room for them. Some are gender-nonconforming. Some are fleeing violence. All are living proof that the fight for LGBTQ rights is far from over—and that pride must be more than a parade.

With access into youth-led advocacy, grassroots shelters, and the overlooked corners of NYC, Outcast Nation challenges audiences to confront what it means to be “welcomed” in America—and who gets left outside.

This is not just a film. It’s a call to see what we choose not to.

Welcome to the other side of Pride..
